Camera glasses are designed to record video while you wear them. They vibrate to notify you when a photo is taken and display the date and time. They’re lightweight, with a Grilamid TR90 frame that fits most head sizes comfortably. They’re also IP44-rated for water resistance, and allow you to take and edit photos while recording. A built-in microphone allows you to hear what’s being recorded. A microphone is located on the left arm, above the ear.
The video camera glasses feature a 5 megapixel camera and onboard processing wizardry to stabilize videos and sharpen images. These videos are 30 seconds long and can be edited in the Facebook View app. If you don’t want to use the camera while wearing them, there’s also an app for that. Facebook says that it’s looking into building facial recognition capabilities into the glasses. This technology may become the next big thing in video-capable glasses.
The camera glasses can record 1080p video at 30fps. The lens is hidden behind a small hole on the left side of the frames. Most of these glasses come with time stamps to identify when recording has started. They can be worn by men and women.
