Why Does My Camera Lens Have a Yellow Tint?
There are a few reasons your camera’s lens has a yellow tint. One of them is the proximity of the flash to the lens. The other reason could be the same reason: the camera is located close to the backlight, which is at the bottom of the screen. The camera is designed to balance out the blue light in the lens by creating a yellow tint. The yellow tint can be a bit unsightly, but it will not ruin your photos.
Some cameras have color temperature settings that can be changed to fix the problem. The florescent setting is used with florescent lights, while the incandescent setting is used with incandescent lights. If you want to remove the yellow color cast in your photographs, try setting your camera to the tungsten setting. Incandescent bulbs have the same color temperature as tungsten, so setting your camera to this will get rid of the problem.
Another reason why your camera lens has a yellow tint is that it is being exposed to too much heat. The heat from the sun is likely to damage the glue that lines the lens, reducing the build integrity. The glass from the windows is likely to magnify the heat, which causes the lenses to develop a greenish yellow tint. The heat can even cause a camera to become unusable when taking photos. If you do have a camera with a yellow tint, you should try changing the WB setting to match the actual lighting situation.
